Biggest NFL team busts

Teams that have not lived up to season exceptions

There have been several teams this year in the National Football League (NFL) that have been letdowns through the first eight weeks of the regular season. These are the teams that have been the biggest disappointments according to their projections at the start of the season.

1. New Orleans Saints

The Saints, supposed Super Bowl contenders, are off to a start of 3 wins and 4 losses. Under star quarterback Drew Brees the Saints were projected to have 11 wins and 5 losses on the season. Along with their 3-4 start two of their three wins came against the Minnesota Vikings, and The Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

2. Chicago Bears

Last year the Chicago Bears had a rebuilding season at 8 wins and 8 losses. The supposed play off contenders are 3-5 to start the year. The team with now veteran players such as Matt Forte, and Jay Cutler were suppose to be at least a 10-6 team with a chance at a playoff run. They are now known as a busted team with a 3-5 start.

3.  New York Jets

The New York Jets had a decent year with 8 wins and 8 losses in 2013; the Jets are now off to a 1-7 start. The Jets with second year quarterback Geno Smith, and new addition Chris Johnson were projected to be 9-7 and place second in the division behind the New England Patriots. Although they have faced several difficult teams such as the Packers, Lions, and Chargers they are still last in their division and are going to have a hard time bouncing back.

4.  Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons had a horrific year last year and were hoping to bounce back differently this year. The projected 9-7 team is off to a 2-6 start under pro bowl quarterback Matt Ryan. The team also lost in a huge upset game against the Minnesota Vikings.
