Go apple picking- Hollins Farms, Delaplane, VA- Make a sweet apple pie or fresh applesauce with hand-picked apples from Hollins Farms. Hollins Farms has six different types of apples to pick for $15 a peck. Along with apple picking, you can dig your own peanuts and potatoes, and harvest your own vegetables. Along with games and rides the farm has tons of cute farm animals to see and a country store! Parking and admission is free, and game and ride tickets are $1 each.

The Skyline Drive runs 105 miles along the Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park and is the only public road through the park. The speed limit is 35 MPH so feel free to roll down your windows and enjoy the ride. There are 75 overlooks along the Skyline Drive; all perfect places for an artsy Autumn selfie!

The park has 100 wooded campsites along with a miniature train, a carousel, volleyball courts, an 18-hole par 3 golf course, clubhouse with snack bar and driving range, disk golf, horse shoe pits, an ice cream parlor, picnic areas, playgrounds, trails, an amphitheater, and a miniature golf course. Go on a hike- Scotts Run Nature Preserve- Mclean, VA- The weather is cooling down and the leaves are starting to change colors, what better time is there to go on a hike? For beginning hikers Scotts Run Nature Preserve has trails that are smooth and wind quietly through forest. For more experienced hikers it has trails that  require hiking up and down precariously steep hills and cliffs. All trails have beautiful views of flowing streams or cascading waterfalls along with forest foliage. Put on your hiking boots and get out there! Go to The Haunted Forest at Halloween Woods- Algonkian Park-
The Haunted Forest is right in Potomac Falls’ back yard, and is a great place to get spooked with your friends this Fall! Follow the trail through Algonkian Park and get scared by creepy characters and menacing fiends! Admission is $18 and the Forest is open every weekend until Nov. 1.
