The real best teams in college football.

Top Four College Football Playoff Teams

1 .University of Alabama

Alabama is without a doubt the best team in college football. Already ranked number one throughout the whole season, the team is not an opponent coaches want to face. With nine players on their defense that will be picked in the 2017 NFL draft, and a true freshman quarterback, the Crimson Tide are not a force to be reckoned with. The Tide have the best defensive lineman in the NCAA, Jonathan Allen, who played football in Loudoun County at Stone Bridge High School.  Alabama also has three of the most dynamic running backs in the NCAA, also known as the three headed beast, powered by Joshua Jacobs, Bo Scarbrough, and Damien Harris.

  1. University of Michigan

The Michigan Wolverines are currently ranked 3 in the College Football Playoff Rankings, but deserve the number two spot. The Wolverines have the fourth place Heisman candidate to power their whole team, Jabrill Peppers, by playing offense and defense. Michigan’s defense is what has kept them rolling throughout the season and has helped them stand at number three in the nation. Although the team’s defense has kept them undefeated, the offense has stepped up and should propel them to win out. The team will show their true ability when they face number ten Penn State University, and number five Ohio State University.

  1. University of Louisville

Louisville is currently ranked sixth in the College Football Playoff Rankings, but are being cut short due to their lack of defense. The team is currently a one loss team which is keeping them out of the top four. The Cardinals only loss came to number three Clemson in a close game that came down to the last minute. Louisville’s offense is the best in the country, lead by Heisman frontrunner, Lamar Jackson, who currently has 45 touchdowns. Lamar Jackson is the reason the Cardinals should jump to the number three spot, because no one has been able to slow down their offense and their defense has made improvements to make them a top competitor.

  1. Clemson University

The Clemson Tigers are currently ranked number two in the College Football Rankings and are undefeated thus far. The Tigers high power offense is lead by number two Heisman candidate, quarterback Deshaun Watson. Although the Tigers may be undefeated and beat number five Louisville, a one loss team; I believe if the Tigers were to face the Cardinals again they would have no way to stop Louisville’s offense in a rematch between the two opponents.
