Top Three Classic Christmas Albums

All good things come in three, just ask the three wise men

Album 1: Ultimate Christmas, Frank Sinatra

Ultimate Christmas is a compilation album, which has every classic song of Frank Sinatra singing about the holidays. It’s the pinnacle of the holidays with his voice being so heartwarming – deep and rich – to hear on any winter day. His songs are played everywhere from shopping malls to family reunions; it’s an album that everybody can enjoy no matter their age.

Heartwarming films to watch during the holidays:
It’s a Wonderful Life (1946)
Miracle on 34th Street (1947)

Album 2: Merry Christmas, Bing Crosby

Initially released in 1945 as Merry Christmas, the album is reminiscent of the period it was born from as the Andrew Sisters and the instrumentals are overall 1940s jolly. Now while that may be true, Bing Crosby still maintains his warm voice during the festive and bright undertones. It’s a staple of the 1940s, so it’s a great album for those who miss the days of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers dancing through Hollywood.

Christmas films to watch that star Bing Crosby:
White Christmas (1954)
Holiday Inn (1942)

Album 3: Elvis’ Christmas Album, Elvis Presley

While Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra warm the hearts, Elvis’ Christmas Album offers one of the best takes on a Christmas album that there ever was. While having traditional songs of the holidays like “White Christmas” and “Silent Night,” Elvis Presley still keeps his unique vocals throughout. And he presents new classics of his own, “Blue Christmas” and “Santa Bring Baby Back” being those rock and roll style classics that Presley is now known for. If you miss the King and all of his glory, then Elvis’ Christmas Album brings you back to his glory days.

In the same vein of this album, this film is a classic despite it taking a new take on a Christmas story:
Babes in Toyland (1961)
