Elias Tafwed: Wake-Up Call

Why I picked my show: “I felt like it was speaking to me personally, the plot summary is basically my life in one sentence.”

My favorite part of the rehearsal process: “Working with my cast and having fun with one another. We play games before starting the show, have inside jokes, do Wendy Williams impressions (shout out to Robert McNickle for introducing me to her), and have a good time.”

How this experience has impacted me: “This experience has made me realize that I don’t want to be a wedding planner after college. I want to work with people who will let me make the art I’m making right now and will be there to support me.”

My advice to the cast: “Don’t mess up! Just kidding, I say “break a leg.” Go up there and break both legs and show them what you can do.”

Why people should come to my show: “People should come and take a break from all the stressful, end of the year assignments and whatnot. Just come and have a good time.”

Katie Elliot: Dinner With the MacGuffins

My favorite part of the rehearsal process: “I love my cast so much, and they always have a smile on their faces, ready to work!”

How this experience has impacted me: “This experience has made me realize my strengths and weaknesses as a leader, as well as helped me understand my artistic vision.”

My advice to the cast: “Truly give it your all! When you are on stage, it becomes your show, so act your hearts out.”

Why people should come to my show: “People should see the show because it’s funny and they will leave the theater having enjoyed it.”

Henry Bride: The Door

My favorite part of the rehearsal process: “My favorite part has been working with the cast and watching them grow into their characters and gain confidence in their abilities.”

How this experience has impacted me: “This experience has been extremely gratifying and has given me a newfound sense of appreciation for directors I’ve worked with in the past.”

My advice to the cast: “There is no doubt in my mind that they can put on an amazing show, and I am so incredibly proud of all of them. I’d like to mention that Lena Nickle and Camilla Comstock have been the most amazing production team I could have asked for. They’re always there to help when I need them and they are just as much a part of this as I am.”

Why people should come to my show: “They should come see it because it contains an extremely important message and carries tremendous emotional weight.”

Kristin Bird: First Date

My favorite part of the rehearsal process: “My cast is a lot fun and they have a lot of great ideas to work with. They are three very talented kids who really shine when given that chance.”

How this experience has impacted me: “I realized that I can actually direct a show!”

My advice to the cast: “Keep it fun and high energy.”

Why people should come to my show: “It’s a fun show and a simple, fun night of entertainment.”
