The American Red Cross focuses on providing shelter, emotional support, health services, and food.
If you’re looking for a way to support not only the families affected, but the firefighters, then World Central Kitchen is known to provide meals to first responders and families affected by the LA fires. They also accept volunteer work, mailing checks, donations through paypal, Crypto, and Stock. Jose Andres is the founder of WCK who is assisting with the distribution of food to everyone affected by the fires in Los Angeles.
Don’t have the money to donate? Lagartijas Climbing Crú is a climbing club that organized a google sheet to connect the fire victims with people who want to donate gear such as sleeping bags, clothes, fuel, toothbrushes, reusable water bottles, KN95 and N95 masks. They recently did a gear drive in Los Angeles to give to those who are affected. LCC is one of the many amazing organizations helping California.
The wildfire isn’t only affecting humans, it’s also affecting the animals in the area and even pets that got left behind or got separated from their families. The Canine Club is an organization focused on helping dogs find their forever homes by finding volunteers who could temporarily foster them. You can apply online to temporarily foster the dogs affected.
There are currently many Gofundme’s made by families affected by the wildfire all across Los Angeles. GoFundMe has created an online hub housing verified fundraising pages related to the wildfire. At the top of the hub is GoFundMe’s Wildfire Relief Fund 2025. They’re already more than halfway to their goal of 5 million.
