It’s almost time for lots of people’s favorite time of the year: concert season! With school winding down and temperatures getting warmer, it’s almost the time of year for weekly concerts, tailgates, and barbeques.

    With summer coming up, lots of people are starting to anticipate upcoming concerts for a fun activity. The 2025 summer concert season is anticipated to be a leading year for live music. With an impressive lineup of tours and festivals for all genres, there are many things coming up for concert fans to look forward to. 

    In terms of upcoming concerts in the DMV, there is a mix of big-name and emerging artists coming to the area. Here is a list of ten popular artists coming your way:

• Kendrick Lamar and SZA: Coming to Northwest Stadium in Landover, MD on June 18, 2025. Rapper Kendrick Lamar and singer-songwriter SZA have partnered together to create “The Grand National Tour.” Starting in April and ending in July, the 39-show tour is the first all-stadium tour for both artists and it has become a high-demand concert.
• Beyoncé: Coming to Northwest Stadium in Landover, MD on July 4 and July 7, 2025, Beyoncé is set to embark on her highly anticipated “Cowboy Carter Tour.” The all-stadium tour will take place in major cities across North America and Europe where Beyoncé will be performing songs from her Grammy award winning album Cowboy Carter, as well as old classics.
• Megan Moroney: Coming to The Anthem in Washington DC on May 21 and 22, 2025, rising country artist Megan Moroney will embark on her “Am I Okay?” tour. This tour will highlight her sophomore album, Am I Okay?, while also paying tribute to her past music.
• Shakira: Coming to Nationals Park in Washington DC on May 31, 2025 for her world tour “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” Shakira will showcase her twelfth studio album, which the tour was named after.
• Post Malone with Jelly Roll: Coming to Northwest Stadium in Landover, MD on June 2, 2025, Post Malone and Jelly Roll will be embarking on Malone’s largest headlining tour to date. The tour will highlight his debut country album, F-1 Trillion.
• AC/DC: Coming to Norwest Stadium in Summerfield, MD on May 12, 2025, AC/DC will be performing their “Power Up Tour,” their first North American tour in nine years.
• Zach Top: Coming to The Fillmore Silver Spring in Silver Spring, MD on May 2, 2025, and Jiffy Lube Live in Gainesville, VA on July 11, 2025, the country artist Zach Top, who is often compared to classic artists from the ‘80s and ‘90s, will showcase his classic western honky-tonk style on his tour.
• Goo Goo Dolls: Coming to the Filene Center in Vienna, VA on July 27, 2025, the rock band will perform a variety of music, both old and new, as well as their biggest hit “Iris.”
• Chris Stapleton: Coming to John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, VA on July 6 and 7, 2025, award-winning country artist Chris Stapleton will be performing his blues-country style music at the University of Virginia stadium. It’s a perfect opportunity to have a night full of music and tour the college campus in the same weekend!
• Tyler Childers: Coming to Jiffy Lube Live in Gainesville, VA on September 27, 2025, this concert is the perfect thing to look forward to after the start of the next school year. Even though it’s technically not this summer, this concert is the perfect opportunity to cure your post summer depression.
