As the air grows cold and the leaves get crisp, it’s apparent that Fall is approaching. However, it’s additionally apparent that there are some necessities for surviving the fall season. Thankfully, The Roar has you covered.
First off, you’ll need a zip up. With the sporadic nature of Virginia’s weather, you’ll need to be prepared for it to be freezing cold, then suddenly scorching hot. To do so, you can pair your favorite graphic tee and plain zip up to make your outfit weather proof, yet comfortable.
Secondly, you’ll need a sweater for when the weather decides to stay consistently cold. You can look in your closet and upcycle an old piece, or shop sustainably for a new one. To ensure maximum comfortability, make sure your sweater isn’t an itchy material and, like your mom insists, try it on.
Third off, you’ll need school supplies that will last you throughout the harsh first quarter. Whether you’re a freshman or a sophomore, a senior or a junior, you’ll need lots of pencils with them always going missing. Additionally, you’ll need a folder or binder to store all of the papers your teachers give you‒don’t just shove them in your backpack. You could stop there, or obtain more aesthetically pleasing supplies like pastel highlighters, or a Vera Bradly lunchbox.
The fourth item you’ll need is a fall drink. This drink could range from a pumpkin spice latte to apple cider or hot coco‒as long as you have something to sip on to complete all those assignments you needed that folder for. You can buy your favorite pumpkin creamer and brew a coffee from home, or run to a nearby coffee shop if you’re feeling lazy.
Lastly, and most importantly to us music lovers, you’ll want a playlist specifically for school. This could be classical for study time, nu metal to blast while impatiently waiting in the lunch line, or pop to energize enough to stay awake in eighth block.
