Editorial: A note to A-Rod

A letter to the most pretentious baseball player in history

Dear A-Rod,

Please heed these words: I’m sick of hearing your voice. Stop talking.

Every time I turn on ESPN, or even CNN for that matter, I have to hear your sorry voice defend yourself for something that YOU did wrong. You may believe that you are defending your honor or some stupid thing that you created in your diluted state of mind, but in reality, you’re making yourself look like an unprintable seven letter word. You once posed in a magazine for a picture of yourself kissing a mirror; that’s how egotistical you are. Your lawsuit states that the Player’s Association was not fair to you. Fair? You cheat and lie your way to obtain your goal of becoming “the face of baseball” and you want to talk about fair? For God’s sake give me a break. You were originally suspended for 211 games. It was downgraded to 162 games, and you’re still complaining. You act like when you come back to baseball you will be loved again. There’s a reason fans chant “You did/do steroids” or “A-Fraud,” and boo you crazily. There’s a reason the Yankees are looking to get out of the stupid contract they gave you. NOBODY LIKES YOU. In your sick twisted obviously little mind you only care about yourself. Don’t give paying fans the crap about “protecting your honor or caring for your family.” You only want to care for yourself.

Major League Baseball is not colluding against you. You have become a below average baseball player.  The MLB does not concern themselves with personal vendettas, especially against yourself. If you are suggesting that some sort of conspiracy has been put upon you because you think you are special, then there is truly something wrong with you. You are suing the MLB because you personally feel you are being wronged. When looking for a defense, the MLB Player’s Association, designed for your defense, voted to kick you out. Nobody wants you. Not the Yankees, the MLB, the MLBPA. Go crawl into bed in your mansion that you cheated your way to the top to get and fade into obscurity. No one wants to come to your defense. There is no “I believe A-Rod is being wronged” Facebook or Twitter pages. People aren’t exactly leaping to your defense if you havent noticed. I saw you play once when you played my favorite team, the Orioles. I saw a FRAUD. My family didn’t buy tickets to watch a cheater. I watched what I thought was an accomplished third baseman for baseball’s most accomplished, yet arrogant team. I watched what I thought was going to be a hall of fame player. I saw nothing but lies and cheating. You defamed yourself singlehandedly. You made fans across the MLB turn into former fans because of your arrogance. You turned yourself into a fraud.
