Mr. PFHS Contestant: The Visionary

Getting to know Bernard Asare

Asare looks to out-class the other Mr. PFHS students with his quick wit and fancy attire.

Bernard Asare is a senior with a kaleidoscopic personality and varied interests; he enjoys watching soccer and even composing music, as musical composition “calms” him. As he enjoys the finer things in life, he plans on living well. His future plans include making more money than he can keep track of, then getting married at the raw age of 75.

“I will know it’s time to marry because I [will] have all the money,” said Asare.

Although marriage is far off for Asare, he has given thought to his perfect date. Continuing with his preference for the finer things, Asare’s dream outing with a significant other includes sitting a table with a magnifying glass and reading The Economist.

Despite Asare’s liking of the finer things in life, he is no stranger to public service. Every other day, Asare dedicates his sixth block from his busy schedule to assisting the diligent workers of our guidance office.

“I am a guidance helper, which literally means I run passes, I interrupt classes, eat a lot of pizza, [and] pack books,” said Asare.

Aside from serving others through guidance helping, Asare, a self-proclaimed “visionary”, aspires to work on computers to help others.

“My dream career is to work on computers irrespective of the field. This is because computers make our lives easier,” said Asare.

Asare’s love for computers stems from one of his role models, Steve Jobs.

“I like Steve Jobs because he [believed] that the ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones do,” said Asare.

His passion for soccer and computers is rivaled by a fanaticism for one of today’s premier music stars.

“I like Pharrell Williams because he always [has] on a cool hat,” said Asare.

Asare took the time out of his busy schedule to do a Q&A session, just to learn a little more about the visionary.
