As a member of Jazz Ensemble, Pit Orchestra, Artist Guitar, Guitar Quartet, and as president of Guitar Club, senior Tristan O’Shea definitely fits the bill of a musician. However, despite his obvious inclination towards the Potomac Falls’ music crowd, given his easy going and confident personality, O’Shea has no problem getting along with just about everyone he meets. But still, given his musical background it makes you wonder, just what exactly will he be bringing to this year’s talent portion of the show?

 Q&A with Tristan O’ Shea

What would you change the school’s name to if you had the choice and what would you choose to be the mascot?

“The Sterling Stir-fry or the Potomac River Potstickers. Cascades Canton Noodles. Who doesn’t love Asian food?”

If you could perform on any stage in the world with your favorite band who would it be and where?

“I’d play with Against Me! circa 2006 in a sweaty club with no stage the crowd packed so tight taking a step forward means four shoes are scuffed, singing the songs so loud the PA system is drowned out every chorus.”

How would you describe your personality?

“Poorly.”

What is the strangest thing you have ever done?

“I plead the Fifth.”

If you could take one teacher from Potomac Falls High School to be one of your college professors who would you choose and why?

“Hoilman. Is any explanation needed?”

What is your favorite word and why?

“My favorite word is ‘juxtaposition,’ but my favorite phrase is ‘wooly cotton brains of infancy.’”

If you had to ask someone to prom how would you do it?

“I would have their favorite public figure announce it in front of an audience of at least 3,500.”

If you have to chose to be a Disney Prince which one would you be and why?

“Aladdin, because I want a girl who can beat me in pole vaulting and a monkey friend.”

If you could choose to have a hidden talent what would it be?

“I would like the power to generate near perfect NCAA brackets.”

If you had to live in a TV show which one would you pick and why?

“Futurama, because I’d be very proud to be a product of Matt Groening.”

 If you could solve one world problem what would it be?

“Access to potable water.”

 If you could take down one world leader who would it be and why?

“Jay-Z, so I can be the one married to Beyoncé.”
