Mr. PFHS Contestant: Joseph Ellis
A look at one of Mr. PFHS’ most interesting competitors
The ever-upbeat Joseph Ellis, often seen sporting his trademark hat in the halls of Potomac Falls High School, is interesting in that he is a Mr. PFHS participant who was almost not in the pageant at all. Ellis initially had little interest in this competition. In fact, he did not even have any plans to participate at all. However, after facing increasing pressure from peers and teachers alike, he ultimately gave in.
“Actually my teachers told me I should do it. [laughs] They sort of forced me to,” said Ellis.
Ellis’ dream date would be a surprise romantic dinner, and a trip on a limo to Washington, D.C., all the while being able to see bright stars and moonlight. With additional interests spanning from beatboxing, poetry, and freestyling to socialization and simply walking, Ellis, who targets a future of saving money and going to college, promises to bring an interesting dynamic to the competition this year.
