How to survive the rest of the school year

Tips on how to make it to June 13

As the 2014 school year comes to an end, most find themselves in a stage of “I don’t really care anymore.” Seniors may be asking themselves, “How many days can I miss and still be eligible for senior exam exemption?” The end is near. Here are some pointers on making it through the rest of the year.

Get Sleep:

Sleep is vital to a teenager’s well being, as important as the air we breathe. Sleep nurtures the brain to perform successfully. It eases stress caused by school and puts you in a better mood. Studies have shown that teens need about nine 1/4 hours of sleep each night to function best. Most teens do not get enough sleep or have the opportunity to sleep due to the amount of homework we obtain. Sleep meaning-at home not in class.

Make It Count:

Giving up is not an option. You’ve made it this far. Now is the time to finish these four years on a good note. This is the last time seniors will see some of these people. They attend school with before you move out into the real world. Have as much fun as possible and create memories.

Make Your Teachers Love You:

Teachers are the ones that put your grades into Clarity so make them happy to put that A into the grade book. Do not make them angry because they determine your grades.

Keep Your Eyes on the Prize:

Imagine that feeling you’re going to experience the day you finish that last exam, or for seniors, your last full day of high school. Yet, you have to get there first. It’s worth the time and the effort to work your hardest these last few weeks.

Seniors, ask your Teachers for College Advice:

They’ve been there, They’ve done that. Take advantage of their; wise advice, wisdom, and have a lot of experience.

Stay Connected:

Get classmates phone numbers and social media account names, for later in the summer when you’re bored of the usual activities, you can do something with them.
