Q & A with Angelique Arintok:

  • What new ideas do you have for next year?

“For JAB [Junior Advisory Board] I’m thinking of doing a different style by putting people into focus groups to keep them more motivated throughout the year and I’ve worked with volunteer organizations in the past so I have connections with different volunteer organizations.”

  • Why should people vote for you?

“I think people should support me because slogan is: taking responsibility over popularity. A lot of people have told me that this school election thing is just a big popularity contest and I want to stop that. It is a big contributor  to it,  but taking responsibility over popularity would be a good thing.”

  • Why are you running for office?

“The past two years I have been involved with FAB [Freshmen Advisory Board] and SOFAB [Sophomore Advisory Board] so I  feel like if I can hold a position where I can help more people out that would be really good.”

  • What are your favorite hobbies?

“I like to watch TV, Netflix, and I make YouTube videos.”

  • What is your favorite subject? Why?

“Art, this is my first year taking art. It’s been a really cool way for me to learn about different skills.”

  • Who is your role model? Why?

“My grandma because she’s a really hard worker, she’s really dedicated and she got enough money to build her own house in the Philippines.”

  • What is your life motto?

“Taking responsibility over popularity.”
