Mary Offutt wants to be your next junior class treasurer
Mary Offutt is running for the treasurer position for next year’s junior class. She is looking to add class officer to her repertoire, along with dance and yearbook. Offutt looks to use her financial and math skills to help her indebted class raise money through fundraisers. Along with her financial and math skills, Offutt would be suitable for treasurer as she is a keen administrator with good sense of organization, which she attributes to her mother, one of her role models.

1. Who are you? Tell me about yourself.
-“My name is Mary Offutt, I’m a sophomore. I’m into yearbook, I dance, and that’s about it.”
2. What are you running for? Why that position?
-”Treasurer. I just really want to manage money and help with fundraisers and stuff.”
3. What ideals or goals do you have?
-”For next year, I hope that we have enough money for a really cool prom and do a lot of fundraising because, right now, we have no money.”
4. Why should people vote for you?
-“I’m really good with management and I really want to help the class out as much as possible.”
5. What special skills or traits do you bring to the table?
-“I’m really good with math, managing stuff, and I’m organized.”
6. Who are your role models?
-“My mom because she came from nothing as a child and now she’s a business-owner.”
7. What are your feelings on how Dr. Noto wears her lanyard?
“Yes! She needs to wear it normally. You wear it around your neck, not across your shoulder. It’s really annoying.”
