The Roar would like to honor senior, RJ F’Ieki as this week’s athlete of the week for making the game-winning two-point conversion with less than one minute to play to defeat Briar Woods by a score of 8-7 on October 31.  According to F’Ieki, defeating Briar Woods (7-2) has been a goal of the team’s all year.

“I can’t explain…I’m speechless,” said F’Ieki

F’Ieki has played PFHS football for three years now, and was thrilled with the team’s accomplishment. F’Ieki, a running back, explains that for him, football is all about the Friday night atmosphere and everyone coming out to support the team.

The Panthers can now boast this victory against Briar Woods as the fall sports season nears its end.  Great job, number 21!

“I feel honored, I guess I never thought I would actually get noticed,” said F’Ieki.
