Fall Wrap Up: Golf

This season of golf, the team went to eleven different matches. Nine people were on the golf team this year including three girls. The best they performed at was the Potomac District Mini-Tournament where they placed second. The team also placed fourth in the Curly Licklider Tournament and the Loudoun County All Schools Tournament.

Junior Jason Guintu went to Districts, Regionals, and then to states this year. He hopes to win at states next year. Guintu’s best match was against Briar Woods, where he shot a sixty-seven and and helped the team place in the top three.

“It’s just a challenge; it’s like a mind game pretty much,” said Guintu.

Sophomore Michael Turner and Junior Maggie Kingora both participated in ten of the matches this season and also practiced outside of school.

“[Next year] I think we’re all going to practice and get better and do better next year [at competing],” said Turner.
