Senior soccer player Jonathan Courtney is looking to wow the audience and prove his friends wrong by showing them what a great dancer he is.  His main hobbies include playing soccer and socializing with friends, though he has been playing a lot of 2K My Player lately.  Courtney plans on majoring in computational modeling and data analytics.

To Courtney, Mr. PFHS “means a chance to represent [his] school with silliness and have a good time.”  In addition to his superb dancing skills, Courtney believes he should win because he is “better than Justin Trainor.”

Aside from playing soccer (and 2K My Player), Courtney feels he relates to the Disney Princess Cinderella because he “wears rags half of the time,” unless he is making a public appearance, like at Mr. PFHS, which is when he dresses himself up with the help of magic.

Q and A with Jonathan Courtney:

Q.  If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive who would it be and why?

A.  “I would have to say Jacqueline Kennedy because all of the attention in JFK’s love life went to Marilyn Monroe, but she was the one who held the relationship down.  She seems like a lovely lady, and she [was] the first lady.”

Q.  Who is your mancrush?

A. “Justin Trainor.”

Q.  How do you feel about Nigeria?

A.  “I think Nigeria, while it does have its benefits, is sort of a mess right now.  There’s a lot of things going wrong, especially with Boko Haram and the elections being rescheduled.  I think Nigeria’s biggest problem is their state limiting control of the oil because the oil is essentially the economy which means the economy is in the state’s hands, which isn’t necessarily a good thing.”

Q.  If you could be anywhere in the world where would you be and why?

A.  “Right here. Right now. Because Potomac Falls is great.”

Q.  What would be your weapon of choice?

A.  “Probably a boomerang. You can hit people with a boomerang.  You can also throw it without worrying about losing it, and it’ll come back to you.”

Q.  If a genie could grant you three wishes, what would your wishes be?

A.  “I’d wish for three more wishes, my next four wishes would satisfy all of my material desires like wealth and fixing some of the world’s problems.  My sixth wish would be for three more wishes and it’d be a never ending cycle.”

Q.  One Direction or the Jonas Brothers?

A.  “Jonas Brothers.  I actually saw them in concert when I was in the fourth grade.”

Q.  If you could be any song, which song would you be?

A.  “‘Love Me Sexy’ by Jackie Moon.”

Q.  What is the meaning of life?

A.  “42.”

Q.  What is your dream car?

A.  “Audi S5.”

Q.  If you could be serenaded by any teacher, which teacher and what song would it be?

A.  “A combination of Mr. Ewald, Mr. Puterio, Mrs. Hoilman, Mr. Puszert, Ms. Bridges, and they would serenade me with all of the verses from ‘1 Train’ by A$AP Rocky.”

Q.  You’ve just won a Nobel Peace prize.  What is it for?

A.  “Probably for leaving the United States.”
