Softball has returned for a fresh 2015 season. The girls will be having their first game on March 17, against their rival school, Dominion.

“It is exciting to have our first game against our rival, it should be hyped.” said sophomore Ashley Vayo. Vayo was an outfielder for the team last year and is ready for the season to start.

The team hired a new coach this year, Benjamin Mertel, and the players seem very excited.

“Its definitely different than last year, he’s a good coach and hopefully we can be successful,” said Vayo.

The girls went 3-14 last year and are hoping they will turn it around this year. With new players and a new coaching the softball team is looking to have a successful season.
