Freshman Kelly Mogensen is most commonly found smiling while walking through the hallway from class to class or running from meeting to meeting. Mogensen is running for Secretary against all juniors, even though SCA consists of upperclassmen, Mogensen is looking to bring underclassmen ideas, confidence, and ideas that can involve the whole school. If elected, Mogensen has hopes of bringing the school together in a positive manner and have more community service and tailgating.

Q&A: With Kelly Mogensen

Q: What do you think makes you stand out from the other candidates?

A: “Well, first off, the fact that I’m a freshman, people may not think I’m as experienced but, I do have a lot of confidence and ambition compared to some other people running.”

Q: If you were stranded on a desert island what food would you bring?

A: “Pop-tarts but only cherry, nobody likes that flavor or even knows if it exists but it’s the best I promise.”

Q: Who is your role model?

A: “Audrey Hepburn, she’s very classy, modest and a big time philanthropist, I think she’s a very good idol.”

Q: If you had to be one female celebrity who would you be?

A: “Taylor Swift, she’s also classy and well put together. But the old Taylor not the new Taylor, I love her old songs.”

Q: What’s your favorite T.V. show?

A: “The Walking Dead”

Q: What do you hope to do after high school?

A: “I am interested in becoming a doctor, but studying some philosophy would be cool as well.”
