This school year is coming to a close, which means election season is upon us once again.  Junior and SCA treasurer candidate Lauren Melvin believes she has what it takes to do the job because she is an independent and hardworking individual.  Melvin was inspired to run for SCA partly because career and technical teacher Ms. Swinimer was a huge influence on her.  Melvin hopes to have an influence on the students’ high school experience, and she believes she has the ideas to be able to do so.  The election does not particularly unnerve Melvin because she is determined to win, a trait required of all candidates.  Melvin’s determination, she believes, is something that sets her apart from others running in her category.
