Meet Danny Cox: Candidate for SCA Sergeant-at-Arms
Junior Danny Cox describes himself as “an easy-going guy” and looks at running for Sergeant-at-Arms as a way of giving back to his community. Cox would also like the opportunity to be better connected with students and staff.
“Well, I looked it up and Sergeant-at-Arms is like, you have a lot of power; you keep control and keep things in order, so I feel like I’d be good with that,” said Cox.
While Cox has never held an officer position at the school, he has been very involved as a member of a several clubs as well as captain of various sports teams.
“I feel like I’d be a good leader. I’m organized, I’d get things done, and I’d help everyone else do their job and really help build the school,” said Cox.
The SCA position of Sergeant-at-Arms tends to be one of the most charismatic because that officer is given the task of taking the mike and running the show at pep rallies. Cox thinks he has what it takes.
“I like to have fun, but you know, I can take charge when I want to,” said Cox.
