Deck The Halls

Juniors try to go above and beyond at this year’s hallway decorating

The Super Bowl theme gives the juniors a competitive edge in this year’s hallway decoration because it’s one of the most popular sporting events in the world.

The juniors’ goal was to put the most important parts from the Super Bowl in the hallway to make sure the judges knew their theme

“We tried to incorporate the most memorable parts from the Super Bowl and put them in our hall,” said junior Alex Nemer.

When incorporating their theme into the halls the juniors wanted to make sure they didn’t forget anything.

“We have a football field, a halftime performance, and all the NFL teams,” said junior class president Abby Laurenson.

Even though decorating the halls is fun, it comes with a lot of stress.

“[The most stressful part] is making sure everything is perfect and goes according to plan,” said Laurenson.

The stress last all through the week until the judges come to look at the halls.

“The most stressful part is the day of judging because so many things run through your head,” said junior Jack Taylor.

Getting the judge’s votes is always a priority and the juniors have tried to find ways to do just that.

“[We plan on] being more creative than the other classes,” said Nemer. Being more creative is not their only idea, however.

“We plan on just making sure the judges are not bored walking through our hallway. Our goal is making sure the locker sets and walls truly stand out,” said Taylor.

Getting the judge’s votes during hallway decorating is a hard thing to do, but the juniors have a system.

Decorating the hallways is always a fun time of the year and everyone wants to help. Seeing the finished product of everyone’s hard work is always satisfying.

“I love being able to see the direct result of our work,” said Taylor.
