In its first year, the Potomac Falls High School field hockey team is off to a  10-1 start. “I’m so excited that field hockey is finally a varsity sport. It’s so awesome to compete with other teams in the county. I couldn’t have asked for a better team [and] for our first season ever, we are number one in Loudoun County,” said Athlete of the Week Abby Asuncion.

  Asuncion had two goals in their 7-1 victory against John Champe High School and she is excited with their start to the season.

  “[We are playing so well because] we are always fighting for the ball, we are always aggressive and never give up,” said Asuncion.

  Congratulations to Potomac Falls’  newest varsity sports team on their great start and good luck at their game against Woodgrove on Tuesday, Oct. 4.
