Virginia Tech commit and The Roar’s Athlete of the Week, senior Kylie Thomas is hoping to make her last year on Potomac Falls’ varsity volleyball team a season to remember. So far, she has not fallen short.

Last year as a junior, Thomas broke the school record for most kills with 975. She currently has a total of over 1000 [kills] leading her to break another school record for most kills in a career.

Thomas committed to Virginia Tech in the beginning of February and is excited for her college career to soon begin.

After losing head coach, Linda Lachey-Helms, the volleyball team certainly has had to adjust to a lot of new changes this season with new head coach Nick Puszert.

“[The team] is really young with a new coach, so a lot of changes are going on but we are improving each week. We should peak at just the right time and be at our strongest point during playoffs,” said Thomas.

Good luck to Potomac Falls varsity volleyball as they continue their season.
