Anyone looking for a good thriller full of suspense, I think I found the perfect thing for you. Megan Miranda’s All the Missing Girls has all those things. It’s a page-turner that will leave you shocked every step of the way.

It’s been 10 years since Nicolette Farrell left her hometown after her best friend, Corinne, disappeared from Cooley Ridge mysteriously. Back again to help with her ill father, Nic is soon thrown back into the drama that brings Corrine’s case back into her life.

The investigation 10 years ago focused on Nic, her older brother Daniel, her then-boyfriend Tyler, and Corrine’s boyfriend Jackson. Since her friend went missing, Nic has been the only one to leave Cooley Ridge.

Daniel and his wife are expecting a baby; Jackson works at the town bar; and Tyler is dating Annaliese Carter, who is the key component to the group’s alibi for the night Corinne went missing 10 years ago.

Within days of Nic returning to Cooley Ridge, Annaliese goes missing without a trace just like Corrine had 10 years prior.

Told backwards, the novel opens on day 15 – the day that Annaliese Carter’s body is found – and ends on day one – the day Nic comes into town.

Nic works to learn what happened to her younger neighbor’s disappearance, and what really happened to Corinne that night 10 years ago. To find out what happened that night read the book, All the Missing Girls.

Megan Miranda convincingly creates a haunted scene that serves as a character, but what makes it intriguing is the fact that she tells it in reverse order, drastically changing the reader’s perspective.

This is also a book that you can’t help but go quickly through; Miranda is a master at leaving just enough clues to keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to read more. It becomes difficult to remove your eyes from the pages. I was transfixed with the book from the first page until the last word. This literal backward tale is a definite winner in my book.

Good Reads gives this book a rating of 3.8 out of 5 stars. If you enjoyed reading Gone Girl, then you will enjoy this brilliant read by Megan Miranda; it’ll be hard to not stop reading once you start.
