You often find her confidently strutting through the hallways, her smile lighting up the faces of passing students; or you can hear her bold laugh echoing off the classroom walls. But, for one night only, you can find senior Gillian Clarke on stage hosting the Mr. Potomac Falls event.

For this special night, Clarke will be an emcee along with senior Garrett Fraino, “Garrett and I are working together to create a fun event filled night with an awesome script, so people won’t be bored,” said Clarke. Due to her outgoing personality, she was specifically chosen among several candidates, “I was chosen by SAB [Senior Advisory Board]; I like to think of myself as funny, so I think that’s why they picked me. Public speaking is also a strength of mine.” As an emcee, and the only female in the Mr. filled night, Clarke will have the difficult task of entertaining and allow for smooth transitions between each boy’s performance; however, with the help of her partner and rehearsal, it is sure to be a hilarious success.

If you could be any animal, which would you be?

“A hyena, because they laugh a lot and so do I, except my laugh is not as annoying as a hyena.”

What is your dream career? Does it have to do with public speaking?

“To work at Disney World and be a marketer there.”

Who is your role model?

“Q [English teacher Mr. David Quirin]; he’s awesome and outspoken. You can definitely learn life lessons from him.”

If you could pick any actor to play you, who would pick?

“Emma Stone because she’s really funny and I love her red hair.”

Ideal date?

“Going to the zoo to see lambs, my favorite animal.”

If you were trapped on island, what food would you bring with you?

“Cheese-itz”

Would you rather be blind or deaf?

“Deaf. I’d still be able to see the world and get dressed.”

If you could have any superpower, what would you have?

“Read minds. I want to know what people are thinking.”

What would you do if you had one full day to yourself?

“If money weren’t a problem, I would fly to Rio and go to the beach. I’ve always wanted to go there.”

If you were a leprechaun where would you hide your gold?

“My pillow.”

“Miss Piggy because I’m the only girl with a bunch of guys at Mr. PFHS!”
