Fall Sports Wrap Up: Boy’s Cross Country

This past season Potomac Falls fall sport pushed themselves hard to obtain their goals.  In cross country the boys were hard at work all season long and their efforts showed when they placed very highly in the final scores. On Oct. 11 at the Glory Days Grill Invitational, Potomac Falls placed 6th and John Deker placed 22nd. On Oct. 18 at the Third Battle Invitational Potomac Falls placed 4th and Chris Galloway placed 14th with a time of 16 minutes and 20 seconds.

Some key players were seen when looking through the season’s stats such as juniors Jacob Kloman and Nathan Smith. Now that the season is over, many have time to reflect. “I didn’t do as well as I wanted to as a team as a whole, but it was a good season,” said Smith. However some could take this as a learning experience for the next season.

“I like running because it’s very competitive and at the end of a race there is no one to blame but yourself, the pressure is all on you. It really gives you a sense of self-confidence after you have done well,” said Kloman. Coach Null is already thinking about the next season and how the team can move forward with itself “[We are] Trying to get a boys team to state meet,” said Coach Null. It is evident that this team enjoys what they do, and are looking forward to next season.
