All about the 2015 Mr. PFHS pageant

It’s that time of year again! It’s time for the Mr. PFHS pageant! With more theatrics than ever before, the show is sure to be an exciting night. This year’s contestants will be Andy Gaidry, Luke Borman, Forest Saunders, William Lin, Justin Trainor, Tarik Terry, Joe Gindhart, Jonathan Courtney, Andrew Sexton and James Kenney. Come out and support your favorite contestant on Thurs. March 12 at 7 p.m in the PFHS theater. Seniors get in free and tickets for underclassmen are $6.

This year’s show is going to be better than ever. The Senior Advisory board and the Senior class officers and advisers have added some exciting new elements to the show. “We hired a company to come in and do all the lighting and stage effects for us, so from a production side it will be very professional and organized,” said senior class president Mariana Brazao, “This year we’re also doing a lip sync battle round where all the guys will choose a song and battle it out.”

Despite these new changes the core elements if the show will remain the same. “There will still be a fashion round and Q&A round. The only difference with the fashion round is that there will no longer just be formal wear. The students will be able to pick their own fashion. Everyone is going to look different and bring their own game,” said SAB adviser Ryan Khatcheressian. There will still be a judge’s and a people’s vote. You can vote for your favorite contestant by donating to their box outside of the cafeteria during lunch.

A lot of planning has gone into the annual pageant. “ Since we got a company to take care of the lighting, all of technical is taken care off. Through SAB we’re mostly just get the guys together for rehearsal. We are having Sunday rehearsal this year. We’re just making sure everything is on cue for the event. We need SAB for the event to hand out programs, setting up and cleaning up. Mostly just having the show go as scheduled,” said Brazao
