Rising senior DeDe Gilmore is running for Student Council Association (SCA) vice president for the 2016-2017 school year. She is passionate to be a student at Potomac Falls.  As a caring, fun, silly, and down-to-earth person, her goal is to spread awareness and recognition of all that goes on at our school. She also would like to make Potomac Falls a place thriving with spirit once again.

 Gilmore thinks that she is suited for this position because she balances her work and priorities well enough to now have enough time to contribute to the SCA. She thinks that she can be a positive and inclusive leader that can set a good example for the school.

 “I always thought it was something I wanted to be apart of when I got older, and now I feel like I have the time and feel responsible enough to take on that role,” said Gilmore.

 She plans to continuously advertise and promote new ideas, events, and accomplishments of other students to ensure that everyone is being recognized and included in the Potomac Falls community. This active young lady has a heart for others and wants to restore the unity and excitement of Potomac Falls once again.

Q: What animal would you say you are most like?

A: “Probably a cat, because they’re super lazy and sleepy like me on the weekend, but they’re also very fast animals and I like to run. They’re also super sassy at times, which I love.”

Q: If you could be somebody else for a day, who would you be and why?

A: “Blue Ivy, because that is the life. Beyoncé is great.”

Q: If you could be friends with a movie/book character, who would it be and why?

A: “Winston from the book 1984 by George Orwell, because someone needs to make sure this man can break out of the totalitarian society he’s in.”

Q: If you were given three wishes what would you wish for?

A: “Endless amount of “Bahama Mamas” from Tropical Smoothie Cafe, to be record-breaking fast, and a workout closet like Khloé Kardashian.”

Q: If you knew that you only had a year to live, what would you do?

A: “I would build a tree house, set up WiFi there to binge watch Netflix, and read as many books as I could.”

Q: If you could only eat one meal for the rest of the year, what would it be and why?

A: “Pesto on pasta and chocolate milk because that’s what I normally eat most days anyway. It’s one of my favorite meals.”

Q: What would your plan be during a zombie apocalypse?

A: “I would probably leave everyone and run away to the tallest mountain to escape.”
