Congratulations to Alex Nemer for being The Roar’s Athlete of the Week for his performance against Orange County in the first round playoff game!

 Nemer is a four-year member of the Potomac Falls Varsity Football team, and he is the Panthers’ Jabrill Peppers, playing a multitude of positions, such as safety, punt-returner, punter, wide receiver, and running back, to name a few. Nemer helped to secure the team’s win, returning a punt 90 yards to score the third touchdown of the game, effectively putting the game out of reach for Orange County. This was Nemer’s first touchdown of the year, and he was ecstatic about it.

 “It was nice to do something for the team. It was a nice swing of momentum, and I think it helped us out a lot,” said Nemer.

 The Panthers play Albemarle this Fri., Nov. 18, as they continue their playoff run into the second round.
